Baby is due this week and this is our favourite name.

Does anyone else here have an Elizabeth?

What middle names do you think would suit it?

What are your honest opinions on the name?

I had Elizabeth Joy down for this baby that has now turned out to be a boy!

I love Elizabeth. If my son had been a girl it would have been his name.

We would have called him Elizabeth Rosalie

Elizabeth Joy is lovely.

I think it works really well with a one syllable middle name.

SelinaMyers · 18/09/2018 08:58

Another for Elizabeth Grace. I’m expecting next month and baby’s middle name will be Elisabeth after my sister who is an Elizabeth

Sungura · 18/09/2018 10:03

What about Elizabeth Glenne? Elizabeth Dove? Elizabeth Jin? Elizabeth Sage? Faith, Hope, Love? Something short, sweet, unique.

Pumpkinpie2018 · 18/09/2018 10:08

I have a Grace Elizabeth. Smile Elizabeth is beautiful as a first name though and has loads of nicknames (I love Betty!).

I would keep it classic- it doesn’t matter what is popular in my opinion.

Elizabeth Rose
Elizabeth Grace
Elizabeth Jane
Elizabeth Ivy
Elizabeth Mary is stunning.

I'm an Elizabeth and I'm loving it more as I get older. Don't like it shortened though and always have to correct people who, when meeting me, immediately refer to me as Liz. Didn't use it for either of my daughters, but now pushing hard for them to use it as a middle name for their daughters, when they have them.

We have an Elizabeth Alexandra in the family

Mummaluelae · 19/09/2018 15:48

Dd is Elizabeth (lily-beth) Morgan. We were torn between that and Megan.
Friends are Elizabeth (liz) jaquelinne
Elizabeth (lizzie) Mary
Elizabeth (izzi) tina

Tissunnyupnorth · 19/09/2018 15:52

DD1 is Elizabeth Grace. Known as Beth Grace. Love her name.

I have an almost one year old Elizabeth Ruby Rose, though she’s known as Lizzie most of the time. All three of her names are after relatives - otherwise I might not have gone for ones that are quite so ubiquitous.

funinthesun18 · 06/10/2018 16:11

Elizabeth Rose was born last Thursday Smile She really suits her name!

Perfect! Nicknames are dreamy - Betsy, Lizzie, Eliza, Beth, Ellie, Ella, lily.... Every little girls dream to have so many lovely names to pick from! It's like she can choose a name for every age! Grin (incase you can't tell, I've always wanted to be called Elizabeth - as a child I launched a passionate campaign to change my name but my parents were having none of it!)

SadieAB9 · 06/10/2018 16:16

Elizabeth Rose! Just seen your post! Sounds beautiful! Classic and lovely

yellowplumpreserves · 06/10/2018 16:19

I have an Elizabeth. Don’t want to say which short form she gets as it’s too outing as it’s very rare. She goes Elizabeth in full at least half the time.

Short names are better, I think:

Elizabeth Ann/Anne
Elizabeth Jane
Elizabeth Mary
Elizabeth Rose

Just saw your update! Congrats
