Boy's name for brother Sebastian

Looking for some suggestions for baby boy names. My eldest is called Sebastian--a name we always loved even before I was pregnant. I like it because Sebastian is traditional but not common; and Seb is cool and trendy. He can use either.
I love Theodore/ Theo for the same reason, but my friend's son who is a similar age to my son is called Theo. So then I thought of just short names. When I've searched on other threads, lots of suggestions have been for longer names like Sebastian, but maybe I'd like a short one to go with Seb. Then I thought of Kit, but my husband went off that one because he works in football. I like Rory but our surname begins with R (can you imagine if he had a lisp lol?) so we settled on Finn but someone we know called her newborn Finn literally this week. I've suggested Arlo, Hugo and Jude but my husband doesn't like any of them. Any other suggestions? TIA

I have a Sebastian too, it's a brilliant name imo!

On my list was Jacob, Declan, Tobias, William, Theodore. You could still use Theodore and use Teddy as a nn. Is the friend a lifelong friend or a friend for now?

I prefer longer names with a short nn personally. Dd is Francesca nn Frankie. Frankie and Seb goes really well in my mind because I have said it for the last 5 years, so maybe Francesco? Or Frances?

I also love Zachary with nn Zac but DH vetoed it instantly. Seb and Zac sounds ace!

Sebastian and Matthias.(Seb and Matt)
Sebastian and Benedict. (Seb and Ben/Ned).

Sebastian, Theo and Hugo were on our shortlist. As well as some of the others already suggested like Felix, Dominic and Alexander.

Also suggest names like Gregory, Christopher and Philip.

I love George and Max too but couldn't use them.

Tobias (Toby), Nathaniel (Nate/Nat), Nicholas (Nick/Cole), Jonathan (Jon/Jonty), Alexander (Xander/Alex) or Dominic (Dom/Nico) are the obvious fits I'd say.

LulusMiniEgg · 16/09/2018 11:13

We have a Jude and my DD was going to be Sebastian if she had been a boy! We also loved Rory & Rudy but yes I know what you mean about if they have a speech impediment!

@Frouby we obviously have exactly the same taste in names as DD is Francesca shortened to Frankie or Cesca!

How about Theodore but have Teddy or Ted as a nickname instead of Theo, then it's that little bit different than your friends son? I love the sound of Ted and Seb together!

Other suggestions ...
Albert/ Alby
Frankie
Oscar
Stanley
Miles
Finn
