So far we've only liked Ché but we want the middle name Charlie.

Throw me some options?

A couple of unusual names that I like, but my husband said no to...
Casio
Neon
Jetson (Jet for short)
Italo

A little bit zany - not sure if that’s what you were really asking for!

Xiaoxiong · 06/09/2018 17:41

I don't know about unheard of, but ones I liked that my husband said were too out-there:
Cador
Breoc
Kitto
Ruan
Sancho
Arwel
Asmund
Bjarki

Where are you getting Ché from? Short form of José / Joseph? Or Ché Guevara (obviously ché wasn't his actual but just a word he used a lot and acquired as a nickname).

Do you have a culture you have links with? If Ché is José maybe Spanish? That would be a good way to go.

Otherwise you could literally pick an aspect of nature (Oak, Tornado...) or an animal or an attribute and use it as a name.

Unheard of is too wide a category - unheard of names won't actually be names, or will be from another language.

Balonz

DC06 · 06/09/2018 18:17

I don't think Ché Charlie but if you like it go for it. Have you thought about Shay it sounds similar but may be easier to spell/pronounce?

I think calling him Che makes a very definite political statement so personally I wouldn't. Shay?

Rian, Jared, Idris, Ciar, Jago...

RavenWings · 06/09/2018 18:37

Damn, hit post too soon. Add Travis to the list. Anyway none of those are unheard of but they're a bit rarer imo.

SoyDora · 06/09/2018 19:07

By ‘unheard of’ do you mean something that literally has never been heard/used before?

SilverySurfer · 06/09/2018 19:59

Ichabod Grin

Petalflowers · 06/09/2018 20:05

Fenton
Blair
Barington

There was a recent thread where people posted unusual names from their family tree. Maybe worth looking at that.

Petalflowers · 06/09/2018 20:06

Thinking about it, the title is an oxymoron. If no one has heard of the name before, then they woukdn’t Be able to post it. All the names listed have obviously been heard before, or people wouldn’t know to post it!

TheVanguardSix · 06/09/2018 20:12
