I really like it. I know a little boy called Jesse, think he's 2 or 3 . I think maybe years ago it was more associated with the slang insult but it's becoming more popular as a name for a boy now.

bunchybaby · 01/09/2018 17:16

Love it .. but had 3 girls instead , was the front runner for everyone of them if they had been boys .

Still get a bit sad that I will never use it Sad

golddustwomen · 01/09/2018 18:28

LOVE it

kettleonplease · 01/09/2018 23:06

I disagree with @Goostacean , I think it's more Australian than American.
I like it though also had concerns about 'you big Jesse' but my Australian DH had never heard of that before

Lookingforadvice123 · 04/09/2018 21:15

Love love love it! It's my front runner for a boy (find out the sex this week!).

I also have a Seth which I think it goes perfectly with.

I only know one Jesse and he's definitely over 25 and said he got a lot of teasing about his name.

maitaimojito · 04/09/2018 21:18

I really like it but would worry about other people (older generation) referring to ‘big Jesse’.

abbiejasminee · 05/09/2018 09:10

Love it!!! Was on my shortlist!

Sunflower321 · 05/09/2018 10:08

I know a few Jessicas who are called Jessie.

Reebeetee · 05/09/2018 10:12

I normally love biblical names but I really don't like Jesse.
I like that it's fairly unusual but it sounds so American to my ears.
It's a bit of a wet name to me and too feminine. I think he'd get teased especially if he grows up to be a bit sensitive and weak

Sunflower321 · 05/09/2018 10:18

I actually find Jess more masculine sounding than Jessie.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 05/09/2018 10:24

I don't love it because of the associations I'm afraid — Jesse James, or the sad Roberta Flack song! Having said that, if I were to meet your Jesse that would probably change because it would 'just' be his name if that makes sense.

Shadow1234 · 08/09/2018 17:32

I love the name. Takes me back to jesse james! Lol

Are u considering any other names , or would u like some
Suggestions, just in case any other name jumps out and takes
Your fancy

raviolidreaming · 08/09/2018 17:36

I do like it, but would worry about the 'you big Jesse' connection and would never use it. My DS would only have to be called it once and I'd never forgive myself.
