Which do people prefer?

I have always loved the name Beau!

Arlo - ok, but will date. Also a bit wishy washy.
Beau - no way, what if he isn't?
Bodhi - also faddy, and sounds like 'body'
Abel - ok, probably the best of the bunch, I would just worry in case he was not (very able!) in which case he may get teased.

So if I had to choose Abel, but not really keen on any.
What about Ezra?

I like Abel and Arlo but don't really like the other two. Good luck with deciding - it's horribly hard isn't it!

I quite like Abel - it’s strong and simple and just the right side of unusual. Arlo is ok but very faddy and likely to date quickly. Really dislike Bodhi and Beau - both quite unattractive and a bit daft imo!

Abel: I don't like the sound and I don't like the connotations
Arlo: it's okay, though I don't love it.
Bodhi: Can only think of Bodhi Zen spas. Weird name for a child.
Beau: really, really object to this as a name.

Dislike them all immensely (sorry) but if I was pushed then I suppose Abel is the least awful.

My teen son has a friend called Beau, he’s very cool and it really suits him. I love it. Also like Bodhi and Arlo but I think Arlo is becoming more popular now. Dislike Abel.

How do you pronounce Bodhi? Bodie? Body? Weird name. Beau makes me think Bow-not great for a guy. Arlo and Abel are a bit meh.

Of those names, Arlo or maybe Abel, but none of them are my thing really.

What connotations are there with Abel? It only makes me think of a gardener or labourer 100 years ago or more, I think it's probably a biblical name? I think it's the best one, Arlo second.

Bodhi is just a bit odd, it doesn't really grab me. Beau is ridiculous for the reasons pps already gave.

Sorry - I don't like any of them. Maybe work through the baby book a bit further and check out the Cs, Ds and onwards?

Pemba in the Bible Cain and Abel were Adam and Eve’s sons.

Cain, the elder, killed his brother in an apparent fit of jealousy because God favoured Abel’s offering over his.

Cain was punished by God and sentenced to wander the earth.

It’s not a cheerful story to say the least which is why Bridget doesn’t like the connotations. It’s also why you never hear of baby boys named Cain.

Beau could also lead to a lot of teasing if he was not beautiful and Bodhi is just weird.

Abel - Cain and Abel. No.

Arlo - ugh no, it's for people who want to be unique yet are actually following the same trend as everyone else.

Bodhi - not against it, but not hugely for it either.

Beau - no. Toddlerish and cutesy.

Oh of course, Cain and Abel, how could I forget?? Still at least Abel was the good guy in that scenario!

Still think it's the best of the lot though.

Abel - Probably my favourite from this list
Arlo - reminds me of Harlow in Essex
Bodhi - Not sure...
Beau - I like this, but the only Beau I currently know is female (although I know it’s unisex)

I'm so sorry and wouldn't say this unless you hadn't asked for honesty, but I don't like any of them!

Arlo- reminds me of Arla, the milk producer. Also a bit 'try-hard' and ubiquitous

Abel- he killed his brother and betrayed his family in the Bible, and whether you believe or not, EVERYONE knows who Cain and Abel are. Also ill-fated son on Jaxon Teller in Sons of Anarchy

Beau- yuck

Bodhi- eh what?

How about something like Silas if you like Biblical names?

Wrong Cain killed Abel! So shut me up!
