I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant with a baby girl and am struggling to decide on a name. One of the very few names we agree on is Robyn.
I like it as it is not too common but is not so unusual that it's hard to spell/pronounce. Just really looking for peoples opinions on the name and if I need to go back to the drawing board.

It's nice.

I know a 16 year old girl Robin... I think it’s a newer name becoming more popular for girls in the UK these days, however may seem dated to American or Australian ears!
( I prefer the ‘i’ rather than the ‘y’ spelling)

Sweet name... For middle names how about:
Grace
Louisa
Lily
Rose

It's nice enough. I know a newborn Robyn. I think I just prefer it as Robin used for a boy rather than a girl

I don't like it, I'm afraid. Robin is better, but I'm not keen on that either.

Absolutely love it

PenelopeThePufferfish · 29/08/2018 19:44

I love it too! I also think of Robyn as the girl spelling. Robin for a boy.

Robyn is a great baby girl's name! My niece is called Robyn Lola and she pronounces it herself as "Obbin" but it is adorable. My main advice though would be to keep all name choosing to yourself. As you can see from my response and those above, everyone associates names with people they know and you shouldn't let other people's association interfere with your personal taste! Make it a surprise, get to know the baby and don't feel rushed to decide on one early. I only say this as that is exactly what happened to me and I am now looking into what it would take to change my DS1's name! oops!
