Lovely but so common it's lost its shine for me a bit. Also not as keen on Josh

Cbeebiesrehab · 28/08/2018 17:58

Perfectly fine but a bit, dare I say it, boring. Sorry.

ismellsnow · 28/08/2018 18:01

I like it, although I always say it in my head like Rachel in Friends - Josh-ooooh-ahhhhh! Wink

kenandbarbie · 28/08/2018 18:02

It's nice I think. Probably more popular for babies in their 20s now, but I think that makes it a good choice now.

Sunflower321 · 28/08/2018 18:25

I dislike the sound, sorry.

Arguably my favourite ever boys name. (DH said no though for DS1 and DS2, he has bad taste in names). Angry Grin

babyarz · 28/08/2018 18:36

I like the name Joshua! X

daisypond · 28/08/2018 18:42

I do like it. The ones I know are in their mid- to late-20s. So it may seem either slightly new again, or way past its peak, if that bothers you.

Cbeebiesrehab · 28/08/2018 18:45

It’s still ranked 16th in the statistical charts (down from 5 the previous year) so I would say still quite popular for babies. I don’t think names like Joshua, Jacob, Daniel etc really age

Sophronia · 28/08/2018 18:58

I prefer it as a middle name as I don’t like Josh.

DramaAlpaca · 28/08/2018 19:33

It's OK. I wouldn't use it but I don't actually dislike it.

Bunnybigears · 28/08/2018 19:34

Its perfectly nice but I always find it a bit wishy washy sounding.

ReginaPhalange89 · 28/08/2018 19:37

I really like it. It's one of my favs but can't use it 😔

I definitely don't agree that it's common, I don't know any Josh/Joshuas recently ! The youngest I know of is in high school

Shadow1234 · 09/09/2018 00:48

Probably depends where you live, as to how common it is.
My son had 4 joshuas in his class alone! 3 Bens, and 3 Jacks!!

Redteapot67 · 09/09/2018 00:51

I love it
