I think Edward James flows the best. Then Edward Francis. Edward Arthur doesn't really sound right , I think it's the repetition of the AR AR sound

I like Alexander or James. Although James is quite overused as a middle name. I like family names as middle names, if possible.

Alexander.
I like the pattern of syllables (especially if you have a one syllable surname!) and Alexander is one of my favourite names anyway.

Any except for Arthur as they sound dreary together. Perhaps as pp said it is the repeated ‘ar’ sound.

Edward Francis

Edward Francis sounds the least try hard

I like Edward Francis best.

Edward Alexander feels like too many syllables
Edward James is a bit bland
Edward Arthur is my second choice - sounds ok to me (no AR sound in Edward when I say it)
