It’s nearly that time again; the 2017 ONS baby name data for England and Wales will be published in the next few weeks. Chime in here with your predictions for the biggest risers and fallers.

England & Wales Girls 2016 top 10:

‘Belle/Bella’ type names

I don’t feel it’s as obvious as previous years though.

Oh and Logan!! They are everywhere here

4 weeks exactly until it's out!

I think Margot will have had a huge leap.

I was going to say Margot too!

Freddie, Fred and Frederick too.

I don't think the top 10 in e&w will vary much, perhaps a few names swapping places.

I think Arlo will have significantly risen again along with Beatrice and Iris.

Alexander, Toby, Sophia and Isla are very very popular where I live but I think they all went down slightly last year.

Following as I'll be picking a baby name soon and will try and avoid the new popular names

I'm just hoping Ezra hasn't risen too much

Think Henry may have jumped a few more places

Also think Violet may have risen quite rapidly

I’m due in one week, I wish it was coming out a couple of weeks earlier!

Leo will be very high I think.

Clementine will be a big riser.

DD will be counted in this one. I think she might have just dropped out of top 100.

Agree with VIOLET and LEO. I think CLARA too, at least where I am in Northern Ireland. Clara, Cora, Cara

If MN is anything to go by:

Ottilie, Norah, Margot, Romily, Thea, and Stella will all be high climbers!

Totally forgot about Florence. In 2017 when I attended baby groups it was easily the most popular girls name in our area.

Agree that Florence is very ‘now’. I will be interested to see where the name Corbyn is, having met a couple recently!!! I think Oliver will still be number 1, I seem to have met several thousand but still don’t understand why it is so popular.

I think Alfie and Freddie will be quite high up

Evelyn and Ada are going to be big as is Ted. I agree with people saying Ezra and Florence. Freya is quite popular too.

My son has a top 10 name.

DD1 was outside top 100 when we named her but has risen year on year. I expect it to rise again this year.

DD2 was born this year and her name is currently outside of top 100 but I expect it will have risen when the next ONS report is out

I'm predicting Jessica to leave the top ten

Louis? I hear it a lot. Ahead of the prince of course.
