Arden for boy or girl?

My boyfriend and I recently have been discussing baby names as we're about to start TTC in the next few months. All very light hearted as it could take us ages but we came across the name Arden and I'm in love. Although more of a boys name Im thinking would work for a girl too.

Do you think it's unisex enough to work for both genders?

The only Ardens I have known (three of them) were girls.

Don't use it for a boy. It's too close to 'hard on'.

Definitely not for a boy. Not keen on it for a girl either, sorry.

Reminds me of a saying of my grans when we burped:

Beg your pardon Mrs Arden,
There's a piggy in your garden

It's too close to 'hard on'.

I thought that too. That would put me off using it for either sex.

I think it's a boy name to me I love it x

I don't like it sorry. Its the name of an area in Glasgow which I believe is a bit of a rough area! So I don't think many people here would like it as a baby name, might just be me though !

It sounds more like a place than a person to me

Belindabauer · 23/08/2018 12:14

I think the exact same as mathanxiety
Don't call a boy that.
