What do people think of Clara and Rosa for twin girls?
Very boring English surname, are they too French/Spanish sounding? Not due for a few months but trying to decide.
Also my name is Rosemary, do you think that matters?

Lovely names!

I don't think it matters that you are a Rosemary as long as you don't tend to shorten it to Rose or Rosie

Rooneyrose · 21/08/2018 12:21

Thank you.
I get called Rooney by everyone apart from my gran! Long story. So Rosemary shouldn’t be an issue.

Lovely names.

Lovely but I would have Rose and not Rosa.

Clara and Rose. Beautiful.

Dani18 · 21/08/2018 15:16

I like them and think they flow well together if you don't go by Rose, Rosa etc then I wouldn't think that would be an issue. However, folk may assume you picked Rosa as a connection to your name x

TatianaLarina · 21/08/2018 15:26

I think Clara might wonder why you named Rosa after yourself and not her. It might make her think you see Rosa as favoured in some way.

Beautiful names!

Quizeerascal · 21/08/2018 16:55

I prefer Clara and Rose, just because the different ending seems to make them complimentary but not too similar. All lovely names though. As long as you're expecting to be known as Rooney for the foreseeable future I think the similarity to your name is fine and actually quite nice to acknowledge you and your parents' name choice in your dc's name.

I prefer Clara and Rose to Rosa
Or Clara and Rosalie
I’m not a fan of the ending of both names being “a”

MrsMolehillMountain · 21/08/2018 17:57

I prefer Rose but they're lovely and go together very nicely

daisypond · 21/08/2018 18:34

Yes, nice names, but Rose and not Rosa will help them from being too matchy.
