What other girls names might I like?

I'm finding girls names impossible! I don't like anything too frilly, overused, hard to spell/pronounce, or wacky/made up.

Here's a list of names I like, but can't use for various reasons...

Marnie - probably my fav but husband says it sounds cheap (Armani connection)
Mallory - "not a name" according to my husband
Olive - not sure about this one and husband not enthusiastic
Vera - long story, but can't use it
Carmen - name of a friend's daughter
Liberty - already a couple in our friendship group
Madeline - husband doesn't like McCann connotations
Margot - sure it will be misspelled and mispronounced
Valentina - no nice short forms IMO

My husband so far has suggested Megan, Jessica, Rosie and Holly. All of which I dislike. (too 1990s!) But as you can see he likes "proper" names.

Any suggestions of what else we might like?

FWIW I think you would be fine with Margot, most people will get it right.

How about Olivia instead of Olive?

If your only worry with Margot is misspelling/pronunciation, I don’t think you should rule it out. I know several Margots and it’s really not a problem their families have encountered.

Thanks all, there's some lovely suggestions here. Definitely a few I will consider.

And maybe Margot is a keeper after all! The thought of it being butchered makes me cringe though!
