There are SO many Evies around which people may end up using as a shortening.... and there are different ways of pronouncing Evelyn which your DD will find annoying.

The pronunciation of Evelyn has changed I've noticed, so it depends which one you prefer and where you are. Eev-lin (my preferred option) has a more nostalgic "croquet at the vicarage" vibe. Ever-lyn is I think more popular in the US.

Evelyn is fine but nothing special. I feel it will inevitably become Evie even with your best efforts. Anoushka is gorgeous. It feels very glamorous and luxurious, I'm not sure why. It's also one of those names that isn't very common but most will have heard of it.
