Really like either Jeremy or Zechariah - nn Zeke or Zek, for baby boy due in October.

Thoughts? DH is very unhelpful and suggests his own name only...

Thanks! :)

Lol at your DH Grin

I like both as full names, not keen on the nicknames due to Jez from Peep Show and Zeke from Think Like A Man. You can probably tell a lot about me from that! However, my weird associations aside, both are good names! I’d lean towards Zechariah - love a good Biblical-type name! Just be aware you’ll probably spend years spelling it out, unlike Jeremy.

Goostacean · 17/08/2018 00:55

Ooh... what about Jeremiah? I promise I’m not being facetious! Best of both worlds?

Sophronia · 17/08/2018 08:08

I like Zechariah

Not a fan of either sorry but I do quite like Jeremiah which is a clash of the two

LarkDescending · 17/08/2018 12:38

I know a Jedidiah nn Jed, in case that appeals?

I wonder whether Zechariah would often be mistaken for Zachariah. You could alternatively use Ezeziel for nn Zeke.

LarkDescending · 17/08/2018 12:40

*Ezekiel

DC2018 · 17/08/2018 13:10

Tbh I like Zeke as a stand alone name better than Zechariah. Jeremy is ok but i can't imagine it suiting a baby as well as Zeke does x

pipilangstrumpf · 17/08/2018 14:18

Ezekiel is a great suggestion

Meebs · 17/08/2018 17:55

Did consider Ezekiel but not super keen! Jeremiah is a mixture but I feel its almost 'too' religious sounding. Maybe I'm being silly though since Zechariah is obviously biblical! Grin
