Very good friend’s dd is called Elize. On a rare post baby night out I heard her crying in the toilets. Apparently the sanitary bins are ‘Elize’ Shock
Might be a potential bullying/piss take in later life. Sad though because they’re beautiful names x

Love Elodie though

Eloise! Beautiful, classic and still pretty original

Icklepup · 17/08/2018 17:08

Elise

foxtiger · 17/08/2018 17:46

Eloise! I like Elise if pronounced with a Z sound (like Louise) but not when it's pronounced with a hard S, which seems to be more popular now.

LightningB · 17/08/2018 17:50

If choosing Elise be prepared for a lifetime of people saying "Elsie" when they read it, and also people saying "Eleeeeze" or "Ahlease" or I've even had "Elisha" (WTF!) people are weird.

I like the name though and it was nice being the only one in a class of Danielle Mc, Danielle C, Danielle D, and Danielle Mac. 😂

Elise. I really don't like Eloise.

deptfordgirl · 17/08/2018 18:23

Elise

TatianaLarina · 17/08/2018 19:13

Elise is much prettier. Eloise is a bit grim.

Ellieboolou27 · 17/08/2018 19:17

I like Eloise but find it a mouthful and I know two who both go by Elle.

Elise is nicer imo.

moredoll · 18/08/2018 00:22

Elise

DragonCat · 18/08/2018 00:24

Eloise

imnotreally · 18/08/2018 00:26

Daughters second part of hyphenated name is Elise. Please don't judge the hyphen. I still don't understand it myself.

pipilangstrumpf · 18/08/2018 09:28

I much prefer Elise!

Eloise often gets misspelled as Elouise.
