What do you think of our shortlists for a girl or a boy? DD is Imogen.

Lovely list! My order of preference (not that it really matters!! would be:

Eleanor
Rose
Alice
Jessica

Edward (I have a 14 yr old one!!)
Thomas
Joseph

Alice - ok
Eleanor - ok
Rose - love this as a first name
Jessica - nice

Thomas - nice but I'm not a big fan of Tom or Tommy
Joseph - great name
Edward - also good.

Would probably steer clear of Alice, Eleanor and Thomas but all are fine.

Alice, Eleanor and Rose all beautiful. Jessica is nice but a little dated.

Nice names. I like Eleanor and Rose best for girls. And Edward and Thomas for a boy. But all are nice.

I really like Eleanor - though prefer Eleanore and dislike Ellie
I also really like Jessica

My favourites are Jessica (but I'm biased cos I have one)or Alice for a girl , and Thomas or Joseph. Not overly keen on Edward or Eleanor

Thanks everyone - really helpful. I guess we can't go too wrong with this shortlist!

Think we'll try and whittle down to two of each and then see what suits when we meet the little one.
