Beau or Aidan

Thought I had settled on Beau and do love it for my baby boy but just unsure how well it transitions into adulthood? Have always loved this name but now having doubts.
Aidan has come to mind. I feel it may suit my little boy better when he is a teen/adult.
Any opinions very welcome. Thanks xGrin

Thanks again for all of your replies. I'm going to try to decide either way over the weekend 😊 x

How about a longer form of Beau on the BC.
Beauvoir, Beaufort or Beauregard.

BonnieLass5 · 11/08/2018 15:23

Love Aidan.

Beau is just bleugh.

MikeUniformMike · 11/08/2018 15:29

Blair sounds a bit like Bear and Bleugh.
Beaujangles? Beaudiddly? Beau-Tye? Beau-Peep?

I wasn't keen on Aidan but that was before Being Human (Series 1).

Aidan

Thanks again everyone! Ok so have been trying out Aidan on him the last couple of days but just doesn't seem right. But then I suppose it wouldn't after calling him Beau for the last 10 weeks Hmm
I really appreciate everybody's feedback but swaying towards sticking with Beau.
Or perhaps I could try to persuade dh to go with one of my other favourite names Marcus or Noel. Although last time I checked it was a definite no Sad I'm sure that I am making this more complicated than it should be!

I love Beau, not popular here, but very popular in the US.

Icklepup · 11/08/2018 18:13

I love Beau.. that's his name now

daisypond · 11/08/2018 18:47

Beaufort is pretty good - it's better than Beau, I think. Could you go with that? But I much prefer William and Aidan.

DiegoMadonna · 11/08/2018 18:55

Definitely Aidan simply because I don't like Beau at all.

MikeUniformMike · 12/08/2018 14:07

Of Aidan, Beau, Marcus or Noel, I would pick Marcus.
Aidan is nice but it's a bit like Jayden, Kayden, Hayden etc.
Noel is Noel Edmonds or Noel Gallagher to me, and a bit Christmas jumpery, so No.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I have decided to stick with Beau but appreciate that it's a bit of a marmite name so I'm just hoping that he loves it! If not there is always William Grin
Thanks again x

William's lovely. How about William Beau?

Otherwise I do prefer Aidan - not mad about it personally, but I think it's a name your son is less likely to be discontented with as he grows, tbh.
