My due date is 4 days away with our first baby (girl!) and we still have no name! So far, I've liked Marlie, Kenslie, Phoebe and Eden but we can't agree on anything!

Any suggestions would be very welcome at this point! Her last name will be Tetley

It's looking like she's just going to be 'baby' forvever!

I wouldn’t choose anything ending -ie or -y sound, it’s a bit repetitive with Tetley.

Willow
Lyra
Summer
Francesca
Jenna

I like Phoebe best from your list followed by Eden. Not keen on the other two choices.

I also like Tamsin and Imogen. Imogen is meant to be popular but I’ve never met one!

DammitOedipus · 06/08/2018 13:18

Eden Tetley sounds lovely. I'm not keen on the others.

HJL2506 · 06/08/2018 13:33

I absolutley love the name Marlie! It's not very liked on mumsnet but I do love it. However as pp has said unfortunately I don't think it goes wth your surname 😫

Icklepup · 06/08/2018 15:13

Eden Tetley

LoveYouTilTheEnd · 06/08/2018 18:09

Love the name Eden anyway but Eden Tetley sounds great! It’s a famous person name, actress or singer etc, love it!

Frosty6611 · 06/08/2018 18:14

Marlie and Kenslie don’t go with the surname. The other two names are nice though.

I think a long name goes well with your surname. Good luck! x

daisypond · 06/08/2018 19:02

I don't think you should go for ones with an ee sound at the end, and I think you should go for something longer - 3 syllables maybe. Phoebe is the nicest of your name choices, but it doesn't work with your surname well. Eden is OK, too. Marlie and Kensie look very odd to me. Francesca is nice, as was suggested upthread.

I'm having my baby in two weeks and still have no name OP I feel your pain! Except I don't even have 1 name I like anymore 😬

I think Eden would make a fabulous middle name with your surname.

DCam06 · 06/08/2018 19:41

I like Eden Tetley best x

Jillyjollyjandy · 06/08/2018 20:27

Phoebe from your list.

Beatrice
Eliza
Lucy

Newbiecat · 06/08/2018 20:29

Ellen would work well and a bit more unusual but in a classy way

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/08/2018 08:25

@Newbiecat, Ellen Tetley is lovely.

AtticaRose · 07/08/2018 08:29

Eden Tetley sounds a bit like a type of tea to me! Confused

Could definitely be a nice middle name though.

Bethan, Ellen or Eliza are nice.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 07/08/2018 11:44

Phoebe is lovely

Suggestion: Penelope Tetley

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 07/08/2018 13:58

Kenslie is awful. Is it made up?

Tryagaintomorrow · 07/08/2018 14:11

I love the name Eden. Go with Eden :)
Or Arden which is Hebrew for Eden

Icecoldchilli · 07/08/2018 16:47

Phoebe Tetley is lovely!

Ignore the posters saying you can’t have two ‘ie’ sounding names - of course you can!
Lily Ounsley - Famous Hockey play
Jamie Vardy - famous footballer etc etc etc

Other duplicate sounds work well together too, Ella Tailor etc

Icecoldchilli · 07/08/2018 16:50

Thierry Henry
Johanna Konta
Margaret Elliot

I actually think names sound better when they match sounds!
