Having wanted a short quirky name all through this pregnancy, OH has announced he'd really prefer something longer and in his words more feminine (grrr) that can be shortened to a short quirky name. He's usually lovely and laidback but has been a bloody nightmare with this naming malarkey. This child is due in 6 weeks and by the size of me I don't think it'll even be that. I know I have 6 weeks afterwards but would prefer to give her a name on arrival.
Sorry if I'm driving you mad...believe me it's driving me madder. Hot bothered can't sleep and fed up!

Best post the names that have been discounted and are a definite no so you don't get duplications.

I like Evalina nn Lina
Rosalyn/lind nn Lena or Lyn
Anabelle nn Anna

Currently mulling over Keziah Jasmine Meredith Monica Jocelyn (his fave not mine)
I like Keziah lots but only pronounced Kez-ee-a. What do you think? Demelza and Arriety have been firmly vetoed!

HeyDolly · 04/08/2018 06:16

I prefer the name Cassia to Keziah.

I love Meredith and also Merryn- both could have the nn Merry.

AnyaMoondial · 04/08/2018 06:43

I know a Keziah. She is always known as Kezzie. She is very cool.
It’s great!

AnyaMoondial · 04/08/2018 06:45

I really like Jocelyn ( nn Joss). I think it looks really great written down as well. And it sounds kind of french and groovy.

RoseMartha · 04/08/2018 06:51

Keziah and call her Kezzie. I would pronounce it Kez-i-er though as knew a girl who used that pronunciation

Cbeebiesrehab · 04/08/2018 07:05

We have an Evelyn nn Effie. Think it fits your criteria pretty well as they are the reasons we picked it :)

bridgetreilly · 04/08/2018 07:14

Keziah/Kezzie is lovely.

I would say Keziah as Kez-Eye-Ahh. Kessia/Cassia as alternatives?

DuggeeHugs · 04/08/2018 11:05

The Meredith I know is lovely and was shortened to Merry when little and Edie now
