Due next week - help with girl names!

We are due next week and are yet to come up with a girls name we really like, starting to panic slightly!
We have a girl already called Amelia and need girl names to go with it. We like fairly traditional names, along with some unusual but not too out there, but we just can't find any we both love.

Fresh perspective from you lovely mumsnetters will hopefully inspire us with a name we may not have thought of!

I don't think you should go too unusual because Amelia is (or was, idk?) number 1 so if you had number 500 or something it would seem strange. Although I guess it wouldn't matter after childhood.

How about:
Bryony, Bethany, Charlotte, Chloe, Eleanor, Evelyn, Emily, Florence, Georgia, Hannah, Harriet, Isabel, Imogen, Jessica, Jasmine, Katie, Kathryn, Lily, Lucy, Layla, Madeleine, Matilda, Olivia, Phoebe, Ruby, Rosie, Sophie, Sophia, Victoria

TatianaLarina · 31/07/2018 19:37

Amelia is very 18th century - how about Georgiana, Jamesina or Sophia pronounced old English way - Sofire.

Threeandabit · 31/07/2018 20:14

Margot as mentioned by a pp, or Sarah.

European names? some of them are lovely.

Clothilde, Iphigenie, Eugenie, Victoire, Lisabetta, Beatrice, Speranza, Elinore, Athene, Thea, Tuula .. even Hortense! Greta, Finja, Romy .. Katya.

Or the asexual names - Julian (think of Norwich), Vivian, Sydney (think Charisse) Evelyn etc.

I love some of the Welsh, Scots and Irish names but unless you have claim it seems odd to borrow .. whereas I'd be quite happy to jump across the channel or into history.
