Title says it all really. Out of these four names which do you like the most? What do they each make you think of:
Eva
Nina
Olivia
Daisy

Eva & Olivia ate that overused they’ve become dull, bland and boring imo.

Nina is my favourite from your list.

meganerk · 22/07/2018 16:28

Nina is my favourite.

Summersup · 22/07/2018 16:29

Eva is incredibly common at the moment.

Nina, fine, nothing special about it nor objectionable.

Olivia, the old Evan in terms of popularity. A nice name IMO.

Daisy, cute on toddlers, slightly disconcerting on adults- I do know a Daisy in real life and it's fine but still my head says 'cutsie' name. I don't feel the same about Rosie, which I prefer.

These names are all much of a muchness, all quite popular and none really offensive or awful, I'm not sure they have really strong connotations.

Belindabauer · 22/07/2018 16:31

Eva is the nicest.

TheCorrections · 22/07/2018 16:31

I know they are slightly bland names. I had my heart set on Dorothea or Isadora but I’ve been vetoed!

Nina

Dorothea is lovely! I like Dorothy as well.

I would keep going til you find a name you love as well, giving your child an 'ok' name isn't great when you are probably the one to say it the most!

I chose the first dd's name, my husband chose the second. I'm happy with his choice, although it's a bit more mainstream than I probably would have gone for given a free choice.

Cosmoa · 22/07/2018 16:37

I find them all quite boring personally.. Nina is the least popular but I find it to be a kind of annoying sound.

thethoughtfox · 22/07/2018 16:37

Everyone is called Eva or Olivia. They are both the new 'common'. Don't do it.

Oopsy41 · 22/07/2018 16:41

Nina definitely

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/07/2018 17:30

Daisy, very pretty.
Not keen on Nina.
Like Eva and Olivia.

LostwithSawyer · 22/07/2018 17:33

Olivia. Elegant and timeless.

Tinywhale · 22/07/2018 17:37

Isadora is lovely, any chance of it growing on the vetoer?

I'm not hugely keen on any of the others, especially Daisy - that is for cows.

Cakecrumbsinmybra · 22/07/2018 17:40

Nina. Lovely name and I know so many children with the other names.

RiverTam · 22/07/2018 17:40

Eva. I’ve never come across one, or an Olivia, for that matter. But I think I live somewhere populated by MNers terrified of giving their DC a ‘common’ name which means that even the most popular names (particularly for girls) are thin on the ground.

StoatOfManyColours · 22/07/2018 17:41

Nina, all the others are soooooooooo popular.

MadameJosephine · 22/07/2018 17:47

Eva and Olivia are incredibly popular, there are loads of them so I wouldn’t use either one of those

Daisy is sweet but a bit girly for me

Nina is a gorgeous name, strong but feminine. I prefer it by miles to the others on your list

probatenovice · 22/07/2018 17:53

Like Olivia best. There's a reason it's popular as it's classic and strong. Its sudden spike in popularity means that i bet there won't beats of people using it this year.

Have you thought of Thea? Love it and it's not on many people's radar.

Mindchilder · 22/07/2018 17:58

I'd discount Olivia due to popularity.

I don't think Eva is as common as Evie. Daisy is cute on a child but maybe not so great for an adult.

I like Nina more than Eva.

AtticaRose · 22/07/2018 18:02

Nina!

P00ka · 22/07/2018 18:02

Love Nina. They're all nice but popular I think Nina is going to become more popular too though
What about Lena?
