Hi all
Currently looking for names and need some fresh ideas!
So what I want to know is;
What would you name your kids if it was completely up to you? And why?
Thanks all!

Girl - Lorna or Mairi
Boy -Gregor or Keir

Reasons for all - fit my culture, love the sound, normal but not really common/popular, can imagine them on a baby, toddler, child, teenager and most importantly, an adult of all ages. Can see anyone in any occupation with them.

Boy - Joshua. I have loved the name ever since watching Cold Feet as a teen. Or Harry.

Girl - Sophie. As I just think it is a lovely name. Or Alice as everyone I have ever met with that name has been a wonderful person.

Beregaria for a girl
Anselm for a boy

I really want Luca for a boy, but DH doesn't like it 😣 he said he can't imagine a grown up Luca in a professional environment. I think that about cutesy names like Teddy but not Luca!!

Fakingit36 · 15/07/2018 02:45

I wanted Miriam for the girl we never had. Also love Cecilia which wouldn’t have worked w our surname. We have 2 boys and I love their names but they were slight compromises. Growing up I always loved Aiden after going to Holy Island but it’s now having this weird popularity and sounds like Jayden etc.

Inlov Stanley, Sidney and Ellis. I really like Marley too but I don't know if I would have the balls to name my child that. I love Violet and Everly for girls.

HJL2506 · 15/07/2018 10:12

I love^

Girl: Tabitha or Felicity
Boy: Hmmm I struggle with boys names. Probably Elliot or Julian atm.

Elliebobbins · 15/07/2018 10:35

Oops I missed the why bit. I tend to overthink things and I'm not always sure what I like or don't like but my immediate reaction upon hearing Tabitha was that I thought it was a really cool name. I love the meaning of Felicity and for me it is about remembering happiness is out there when you feel like you'll never find it again.

My family has a tradition of using names will Elle or Lee sounds in so Elliot is a great honour name for multiple relatives and I just like the sound of it. I just like Julian (I also like Julia) but it does also remind me of someone who helped me out at a really difficult time.

I have a DD Molly. If she was a boy she would have been Anton. The Funny thing is though..I don't like either of those names now. Mind you DD does suit her name to a T

If I had a boy he'd be Gabriel Patrick
A girl would be either. Daisy. Olivia Lois
Hannah. katie. Ciara. Poppy. Kayla. Eva.
Lucy. Darcy. Maude. Sybil. Lisa. Nina.Lydia.
Dorothy. Chloe. Vivienne.
