The girl's name is really lovely. I adore Francis too (was top of my boy's list) but not so keen on Jack. But if it's a family name, go for it.

MariaMadita · 10/07/2018 12:29

Francesca Marianne Jean is beautiful imo.

DeckSofa · 10/07/2018 12:39

I'm not a fan of Jack but can see why you've picked it as it's a family name. Apart from that - lovely choices.

Good, proper classic names that will not date and will not link your child to a particular decade/era. A lot of names considered to be classic now, like Frank, Arthur, Olive etc will date the child to this time in the same way that classics such as Rachel, Helen and Laura date their owners back to the 1970s

TatianaLarina · 10/07/2018 13:47

Don’t like Frances/is at all. Hate Frankie.

Marianne is nice though.

TatianaLarina · 10/07/2018 13:47

Like Francesca too.

AdaColeman · 10/07/2018 13:52

Lovely names, I especially like Marianne.

My girl calls herself Frankie. It suits her but we used Franny when she was a baby and she's already said "when I'm grown up I will be Fran"

It's not a horrible name!

Tbh I call her by a completely irrelevant made up nickname most of the time anyway as I do all my kids! 😂😂

OliviaBenson · 10/07/2018 14:23

A friend of mine when we were at school was called Frances but was bullied with the shortening of the name to Fanny. I don't love it for that reason. Sad

17caterpillars1mouse · 10/07/2018 19:44

I love Francis on a boy. Just can't convince DH

Belindabauer · 10/07/2018 19:47

Yes both great.

daisypond · 10/07/2018 19:52

I really like Frances and Marianne, but I'm not keen on Francis for a boy.

LucyFox · 10/07/2018 20:37

I like Francis/Frances ... I was going to suggest swapping round the two girl middle names (Frances Jean Marianne) to make it flow a little better but you really aren’t going to use the full name very often!

Pemba · 14/07/2018 17:31

I love Marianne and Jack.

Quite like Frances for a girl - it's classic and a bit different (although ultimately I prefer Francesca), but not Francis for a boy. Not really that keen on Frank/Frankie.

EachandEveryone · 14/07/2018 19:21

I love Frances for a girl. I really dont like Frankie it brings it down. I like Franny or Fran.

Its funny because i like Frank for a boy or Frankie.

thegreylady · 14/07/2018 19:29

We have a Francis known as Frank aged 14, my dgs. It’s a great name.
