These are the final 2. Which do you like more?

Because they are both awful. Look at the replies. PP don't know if they are for a girl or boy.

HeyDolly · 05/07/2018 17:54

Aubrey.

TheWillowsAtNight · 05/07/2018 17:57

Oh, so all unisex names are awful? (Even though these are male names)

It's not the fact you think they're awful that I care about (we all have different opinions) but I didn't ask what you think of them. It's like me replying Sarah for a "Rose or Jane?" thread - irrelevant.

I like both but Beau swings it for me as it’s my cats name!

Verbena87 · 05/07/2018 17:59

Willows, I bloody love Aubrey and have stuck it on my secret as-yet-imaginary-second-baby list Wink.

It’s hot. People are short-tempered and rude. Call your son what the fuck you like.

NotASingleFuckToGive · 05/07/2018 18:01

Aubrey is marginally less irritating than Beau.

SleepWarrior · 05/07/2018 18:04

Beau for me, and ignore the posters telling you they are awful names when what they mean is that they like neither.

MikeUniformMike · 05/07/2018 18:15

No, I mean I that I think both of them are awful. I would advise that if you want to use either then perhaps as a middle name. Beau is slightly ridiculous and Aubrey makes me think of a smelly old man.

MikeUniformMike · 05/07/2018 18:16

Beau is lovely for a cat and Aubrey might suit a golden retriever.

LoveInTokyo · 05/07/2018 18:31

I don’t like either. And it’s not obvious whether it’s for a boy or a girl.

Cosmoa · 05/07/2018 18:34

Oh I love them both so much! For a girl or a boy for that matter!

I think Aubrey wins it for me slightly though x

Orlandointhewilderness · 05/07/2018 18:36

I LOVE Aubrey. Hate beau!

villainousbroodmare · 05/07/2018 18:36

Aubrey.

LoveInTokyo · 05/07/2018 18:38

If it has to be one of the two, I’d say Aubrey because if you call him Beau he will never be able to visit a French speaking country or have French lessons in school without getting the piss ripped out of him.

Orlandointhewilderness · 05/07/2018 18:39

Aubrey is traditionally a boys name! I know one child who has it and it is on my list!

LastGirlsFinishNice · 05/07/2018 18:42

Aubrey 100% it's a great name

CaitlinsYellowSocks · 05/07/2018 18:55

Aubrey. I've always liked it as a boy's name though it has become more popular for girls recently.

Icklepup · 05/07/2018 19:02

Aubrey

Strokethefurrywall · 05/07/2018 19:09

I know a female Aubrey but I actually like them both - Beau is just inching out in the lead because I think of Aubrey as a female name.

Ignore the obnoxious arseholes on the thread. I don't like overused old man names like Archie, Harry, Charlie or Alfie but I don't chime in on threads about them to offer my negative views.

LynetteScavo · 05/07/2018 19:13

Aubrey

mamma2016 · 05/07/2018 19:32

Both, Beau as middle name:
Aubrey Beau.

SemperIdem · 05/07/2018 19:35

Aubrey.

Beau is a bit much, I think the same of Belle for girls.

TatianaLarina · 06/07/2018 12:43

Aubrey is a portly middle-aged wine connoisseur. Beau only works if he turns out Beau - otherwise it’s humiliating. Think of Beau Bridges.

At a comprehensive they both have strong bullying potential. I’d only go with either if you’re educating him privately.

OwlBeThere · 06/07/2018 13:12

People are so unnecessarily rude sometimes. The world would be excruciatingly dull if we all liked the same things and people have managed with unisex names for a very long time. It’s really not that difficult. Personally I prefer Beau.

OwlBeThere · 06/07/2018 13:13

And I can tell you that kids can have the most ‘out there’ names and no one bats an eyelid these days.
