Also I have a good friend with an Archer, are they too similar?

Archibald is awful and Archie is too cutesy imo

I find it strange people are saying it’s babyish when there are so many men named Archie in Scotland and I think it’s stands the test of time in terms of child - teenager - adult. But each to their own!

@MariaMadita The Scottish Archies were Archie or Archibald.

My FIL’s uncle was Archie and he was born in the early 1900s in Scotland.

Thanks for responses everyone :) had so many girls names and just cannot decide for a boy! Any less popular yet along the same line as Archie suggestions would be greatly appreciated :D

@mama2be91 I say stick with Archie, there’s nothing wrong with it being a little bit popular.
I’ve been working in schools for over 5 years and I have only known one or two boys called Archie.
We will be using it, despite its apparent popularity.
Ours will be Archie William.
