What are your opinions on India for a girl?

It's the name Katie Hopkins chose for her daughter

It's lovely.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 29/06/2018 21:26

It's the name Katie Hopkins chose for her daughter

Right, and?

daisypond · 29/06/2018 21:31

Sorry, I think it's really dreadful and also slightly offensive - I know people will disagree with me on this, but there you are.

Babbaganoush · 29/06/2018 22:09

Thanks everyone. Seems mixed.

@daisypond can I ask why you find it offensive?

Chocolateyescakeyes · 29/06/2018 22:21

Like it, but prefer Indigo.

hippy1952 · 29/06/2018 22:27

My beautiful, clever, kind, thoughtful 13 year old granddaughter is called India.

greendale17 · 29/06/2018 22:34

Like it

redmini4 · 29/06/2018 22:41

Love it. One of my favourite names.

PixelAteMe · 29/06/2018 22:42

Why on earth do you find it offensive daisypond?

I think it’s a lovely name. India Hicks is named for the country her mother loved so much.

FizzyGreenWater · 29/06/2018 22:48

I like it a lot. Indi is a nice nn.

Indigo also good!

Silentnighttwo · 29/06/2018 22:49

Really pretty. Love it.

ZebraKid71 · 29/06/2018 22:56

It's OK. Prefer indigo.

Sabistick · 29/06/2018 23:01

No, overused.

Discotits · 29/06/2018 23:02

Faux posh.

pieceofpurplesky · 29/06/2018 23:25

Have you been there?

BlancheM · 29/06/2018 23:26

I don't like it purely because it became quite trendy when I was little along with Chyna.
