Hello,

Our little girl is still nameless.

Grace or Macy?

Big brother is Hayden.

Thanks!

Love Macy... beautiful.. Grace is common.

Fintress · 26/06/2018 19:45

Macy reminds me of that shop in NYC. Much prefer Grace.

CPtart · 26/06/2018 20:04

Grace. Classy and timeless. Unlike Macy.

Verbena87 · 26/06/2018 20:05

Grace; beautiful and pairs really well with her brothers name.

kaytee87 · 26/06/2018 20:11

Grace is a million times nicer than Macey

AppleToilet · 26/06/2018 21:30

Thanks everyone. I'm not sure if I want Gracie as her official name, I prefer just Grace.

Other names that were on the list:
Leila/Layla
Olivia
Amelia
Darcy

Grace over Macy every time.

JessambardKingdomBrunel · 26/06/2018 21:56

I prefer Maisie to Macy.

I just think the 'Z' sound is nicer than the 'S' sound.

Grace

Grace

GColdtimer · 26/06/2018 22:31

I have a Grace. We sometimes call her Gracie but mostly Grace.

There were 2 in her (pretty big) primary school. A few in her year group (270 girls) none in her tutor group. So not as common as some people think.

She likes it. It's timeless, I think.

MariaMadita · 27/06/2018 06:09

Grace :)

sexnotgender · 27/06/2018 07:27

Olivia is lovely.
Darcy is grim.
Amelia has been done to death, as has Grace which I love but wouldn't use due to popularity.
I don't hate Macy but I wouldn't choose it.
I couldn't use Layla without singing the song.

MariaMadita · 27/06/2018 07:40

Leila/Layla: not my.favourite (at alll) but fine.

Olivia: beautiful.

Amelia: boring but nice.

Darcy: imo genuinely horrible...

Grace: common (as in popular) but really nice.

Similar names are (imo): Ada, Anna, Cora, Flora, Charlotte, Lotta, Clara, Nora, Juliet, Julia, Iona, Sadie, Lydia, Eliza.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 27/06/2018 08:04

Macy goes better with Hayden

DeckSofa · 27/06/2018 08:12

Grace

MikeUniformMike · 27/06/2018 17:11

Leila/Layla - Leila is nice but there are so many similar names at the mo' Lily, Lola, Lila etc. I don't like the Layla spelling.
Olivia - No. There are so many it's boring
Amelia - No. Too frilly
Darcy - Ugly name.

daisypond · 27/06/2018 19:08

Grace. Not Gracie, unless it's a nickname. Not Macy.
Leila, Olivia and Amelia are all nice but Grace is better. Not Darcy.

MrsJFKtb · 28/06/2018 15:23

I have a Macy but I spelt it Maicey - she's 7 now and there aren't any at her school or friends. A few Maisie's but my DD makes a really point of telling people who get it wrong that she doesn't have a "z" in her name it's a "c".....

Vote Maicey! x

playinthedarkness · 28/06/2018 16:27

What do you think about Gracie-may?

sexnotgender · 28/06/2018 16:35

Gracie-May is dreadful. So many poor children with hyphenated May/Mae/Mai variations that there parents think make them unique and special.

teabag20048 · 28/06/2018 16:37

Marcy?
Hayden and Grace sounds good though.

BigTee · 28/06/2018 16:40

My ex wanted to call my daughter macy but I changed it at the last minute and spelt it macie
