Patrick, Robert, Jasper, Joseph

3 weeks til our baby is due and we are stuck for a name! DDs 1 & 2 are Jemima and Abigail (Jimmie and Abby).

What do you think of:

Patrick David (Paddy? Ricky?)
Robert David (Bobbie/Bertie)
Jasper David
Joseph David

My DS is Robert, goes by Robbie though not Bob / Bobby. I like Patrick and Jasper too. Not a fan of Joseph.

Think Jasper goes well with your other names.

I think Robert.

Quite a few little Patricks around here (maybe due to lots of Irish heritage), Jasper is awesome but also v trendy and more likely to date and while Joseph is lovely I don't like Joe.
Don't know a single little Robert, but lots of lovely older ones, and usually grandad age or near so the name is due to sound fresh again!

I love Patrick shortened to paddy, it was on my list but I also like Robert ( either Bobby or Bertie, both are nice) and think it matches your dds names better.

Jasper the others are a bit dull.

I like them all apart from Joseph (I find it very boring, probably because I knew too many growing up!)
Jasper is one of my favorite names, and I love the nicknames for Patrick and Robert.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I should mention that Jasper is a family name on my husband’s side. Roberts is my maiden name so I’m quite drawn to Robert for that reason. Patrick is far and away my husband’s favourite and Joseph is a bit of a rogue outsider at this stage.

Patrick David sounds best

Love Robert and Joseph (and their most obvious short forms too). I like Patrick but I'm not sure it goes so well with your DDs' names. And in the same way, Jasper isn't a name I would normally go for, but I think it does go rather well with your DDs' names so in this case I wouldn't rule it out.

Patrick David (Paddy? Ricky?) Nice name and goes well with the siblings names too. I think Pat is an awesome nickname as well.
Robert David (Bobbie/Bertie) - This flows best with your other childrens names Bertie is a FANASTIC nickname.

Jasper David - Don't think J names work with your other kids names. Jasper doesn't flow well with those names anyway.
Joseph David - As above really.

Love Patrick and Jasper. Robert is a portly middle aged man, Robbie is a dog, Rob is a footballer. Joseph is over used.

I like Patrick best and Robert second.

Don't like jasper and whilst Joseph is a nice name it's very, very popular.

What about David as the first name. Or Michael/
Not keen on Jasper or Joseph. You don't hear John much these days.

We have many Patricks in our family, managed to spread them out across generations and ethnicities now!

All are Patrick, not shortened. I quite like Paddy in an informal way.

If it were me , which it isn't , Patrick first choice , Robert second choice. Wouldn't have either of the others.

Patrick is a great name. I prefer Pat or Paddy for nickname though.

I love Bertie for Robert too! I’ve been calling him baby bertie for a while now, it’d be a pity to stop

I like Patrick, Robert and Jasper. Joseph is the only one I personally rather dislike...

David is gorgeous btw. I would use David as a first name...

Robert nn Bertie is fab :)!!
