I think J goes with almost anything. (Except B.)

TaggieRR · 24/06/2018 18:12

I like Lydia! Possibly not an ‘O’ name either!!

Changenameday · 24/06/2018 18:42

we’re not fixed on those initials just like the flow of them as a nickname, my sister has always just been known as JK even though that’s obviously not her name!

OJ is what we all call orange juice in our family so that doesn’t work, MJ is Michael Jackson and I wouldn’t be able to get away from that and not sure EJ flows quite so nicely.

Lots of good suggestions though! DH likes Lyra but not sure if it’s too modern for a more traditional middle name and we have quite an old style surname too.

Janet isn't a traditional name, it's just a name that was popular 1939-1955 era.

Janet Jane
Juliet Janet
Jessica Janet
Janet Jade

Penelope Janet is ridiculous. As are most suggestion above.

TBH I'd just go for Janet, It's like the cool cat Genet we see on safari.

LoveInTokyo · 24/06/2018 19:00

“Penelope Janet is ridiculous”...

said the person who just suggested Juliet Janet and Janet Jade!

I have a cousin KJ (Katie Jayne) which works quite well, although she often gets called kage as a nn from that.

OF COURSE Janet is a traditional name; it's been used (as a pet name for Jane) since the Middle Ages.

LoveInTokyo · 24/06/2018 20:55

Making the suggestion “Janet Jane” doubly ridiculous. It’s like “Rosie Rose”. Grin

The name Janet has been in my family since at least the 18th century.

I think JJ are better initials than CJ, AJ or LJ.

Jessica Janet is lovely.

Or, thinking outside the box, how about calling her Jane with a middle name beginning with T. Jane T
