DS2 coming soon. Older brother is Sebastian and we’re a bit stuck choosing between these three names.
Thoughts?

Felic

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 23/06/2018 22:56

Felix but I may be biassed 💕

RedDwarves · 23/06/2018 23:05

I like them all, but this is my order of preference:

  1. Jasper
  2. Milo
  3. Felix
Greenyogagirl · 23/06/2018 23:08

That’s crazy, my pets are Sebastian (Bash for short) and Jasper (dogs) felix and milo (cats) Shock

Sashkin · 23/06/2018 23:11

DS’s best friend at nursery is called Jasper.

It always reminds me of Jasper Carrot, I’m afraid Confused

Chelseajunior · 23/06/2018 23:14

Milo or jasper

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 23/06/2018 23:16

I've got a Felix and he is wonderful. And I love his name!

TatianaLarina · 23/06/2018 23:17

Jasper

Itchytights · 23/06/2018 23:18

Felix is cat food or the name of a cat.
Milo is from the Tweenies.
Jasper makes me think of Jasper Carrot 🥕.

Out of all three probably Jasper.

hungryhippie · 23/06/2018 23:22

They all sound like animal names to me Confused

DiabolicalMess · 23/06/2018 23:22

Milo is the best of the three although I'm biased. Ignore the Tweenies and hot chocolate references, neither are relevant at all.

itssquidstella · 23/06/2018 23:46

Jasper, Felix and Milo in order of preference.

MollyHuaCha · 24/06/2018 00:01

Felix

Oopsmeagain · 24/06/2018 00:04

Sorry but another person who just thinks of pets here. I know a dog called Milo and cats sled Jasper and Felix.
I wouldn’t call a baby any of those names.

Oopsmeagain · 24/06/2018 00:04

*called not sled

schooltripwoes · 24/06/2018 00:10

My neighbour's cats have those exact three names. Sorry that's not helpful is it?

WatcherintheRye · 24/06/2018 00:27

I like all the names, but do have friends/neighbours who have them as their pets' names. But then, one of the little boys at the nursery where I work has the same name as my cat! Being a pet name doesn't devalue it. It's not as though you're proposing to name your son Fido, Rover or Tiddles, is it?

Growingboys · 24/06/2018 00:31

Milo is not a name for a grown up

TroubledLichen · 24/06/2018 00:46

I love the name Sebastian. Felix, Milo and Jasper in my opinion aren’t anywhere near as nice and to me scream family pet not new baby (sorry). If I had to pick one it would be Felix but it’s a reluctant pick.

MyKingdomForBrie · 24/06/2018 00:56

Ridiculous the number of threads on names now where everyone barges in with 'oh no that's a pets name.

People have been naming their pets normal human names for bloody years now, just because you know a dog called Jasper doesn't wipe it off the list for humans!! All of those have been human names for much longer than your bloody mother's neighbors cat's name.

Greenyogagirl · 24/06/2018 02:02

@mykingdom I know a few pets with human names (dan, dave, charlotte etc) and people with pet names including the aforementioned felix and a couple of busters.
I think you should name your pets and kids whatever you want, I just thought it was a crazy coincidence that the 4 names mentioned are the names of 4 of my pets Grin

Discotits · 24/06/2018 07:58

I’m not worried about the pet name thing, I knew people would say that. My friend has cats called Lily and Ella and another friend has a dog called Henry, whereas I’ve never met any cats called Felix. And I’m not worried about the cat food either.

All 3 are such lovely names. You can't really go wrong with whatever one you choose.
I'm leaning towards Felix though.

WildCherryBlossom · 24/06/2018 08:10

They are all fantastic names. I would struggle to choose between them too. Perhaps wait to see the baby before you choose?

Susannach · 24/06/2018 10:18

Felix
Jasper
Milo

In that order. All nice, though.
