Rhydian or Cai

Harri is a great name, but even in wales you’ll need to spell it as I know more Harry’s than Harri although I live in a it very welsh part of wales

I have an irrational dislike of Rhodri as I only know two, both adults, one was a sleazebag, the other just mind numbingly dull.

Rhodri gets my vote.

StarUtopia · 17/06/2018 22:48

Genuinely did not know that...and my family is Welsh speaking!

MollyHuaCha · 17/06/2018 22:49

William

Out of all of them, William.

Harri - Spelt this way I'd presume it was a girls name.
William - LOVE it! Very popular name though if that puts you off.
Rhydian - Is okay if you're Welsh or in Wales.
Rhodri - May be a bit tricky for non-Welsh people.
Elis - Nice cute name, not too popular, but not unknown.
Cai - Put off because Wayne Rooneys kid is called this!

TroubledLichen · 18/06/2018 04:52

Harri - with that spelling I would presume short for Harriet and therefore a girl, Harry is nice though
William - love this one
Rhydian - not keen
Rhodri - really like this, my second favourite after William
Elis - perhaps like to be misspelt and all the small Ellis’ I’ve met recently have been girls
Cai - spelling looks feminine and I would associate with Wayne Rooney who has a Kai

I know so many baby William's or Wil in England.

Rhori or Rhyddian

starkid · 18/06/2018 17:11

Ellis, with the extra l in it

lucieloos · 18/06/2018 19:54

I think my favourites are Harri, William and Rhodri

Rhodri or Harri

Definitely not William, - too common and dull, and not Welsh!

Gates · 20/06/2018 23:27

Ellis or Kai

My DS has William as a middle name, it’s classic and recognisable. However I didn’t want it as a first name. I know lots of young Wil or William. I live in SE Wales.

Rhodri is lovely, I know one baby Rhodri, the nn Rhod travels nicely throughout life and it’s quite timeless. Out of your list I would choose Rhodri William as a first and middle name.
