I like Freya & Phoebe from your list.

What about Tamsin or Thea?

RedDwarves · 10/06/2018 09:47

I like the following:

  • Isabella
  • Freya
  • Grace
  • Rose
  • Olivia
  • Charlotte
  • Violet
  • Phoebe (this is the correct spelling, not sure if Pheobe was a typo)

Not a fan of:

  • Isla
  • Sofia
  • Jessica
  • Eva
  • India
  • Scarlett
  • Jasmine
  • Poppy
  • Iliana

The others I'm neutral about.

RebeccaWrongDaily · 10/06/2018 09:49

quite a lot of those are very faddy and of their time and a bit common (in the popular sense of the word) I'd go for Phoebe.

Do you like Lara?
Cassie?

BB2018 · 10/06/2018 09:50

My absolute favourite is Violet (sounds awful with our surname otherwise it’d be top of my own list!)

I also like Freya, Grace and Rose from your list.

But there are no bad ones there in my opinion.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/06/2018 09:56

Jasmine is my favourite.
I like Freya, Isla, and Scarlett also.
Not keen on Liliana or Iliana, but love Lily.

daisypond · 10/06/2018 10:42

Isabella -pretty but frilly. Names like this may soon go out of fashion.
Freya - OK, but not my taste. Very in now. Will date.
Ava - too bland, but it's fine.
Isla - as above
Grace - I like this - simple but with some dignity.
Rose - as above.
Olivia - fine, but possibly on its way out. I would have liked it a lot once.
Sofia - not spelled like this unless you've got Spanish/Italian connections. Sophia is better and pronounced so-FIRE, the traditional English way.
Lottie (Charlotte) - Lottie is too cutesy. I don't like Charlotte at all.
Jessica - yes, nice.
Eva - too bland but fine.
Scarlett - OK...but I always see it a a bit tacky.
India - No, I hate this. Seems wrong to appropriate an "exotic" country as a name, especially one that the British exploited.
Violet - no, awful. It's a small flower that gets trod on underfoot. And it's a weed.
Pheobe - Phoebe is nice.
Jasmine - nice.
Jemima - OK...but I'm not really wild. It reminds me of Deep South slaves.
Poppy - quite like.
Liliana -rather frilly but I like it
Iliana - not heard of this. Eliana? Quite like it.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/06/2018 11:10

Sophronia · 10/06/2018 12:14

Most of them are very popular.

I like Rose and Jemima best.

MikeUniformMike · 10/06/2018 13:44

Isabella - too many and I don't like Izzy or Bella
Freya - ok but popular
Ava - not keen. So many Eves, Evas, Avas, Evies
Isla - Lovely but popular
Grace - Lovely but popular
Rose - Lovely but popular
Olivia - Lovely but popular
Sofia - Lovely but popular
Freya -again.
Lottie (Charlotte) - yes
Jessica - great
Eva - Braun.
Scarlett - woman
India - ok
Violet - popular. Don't like the Vilet pronunciation. Prefer Viola
Pheobe - nice
Jasmine - nice
Jemima - nice
Poppy - nice
Liliana - no
Iliana - no

manicinsomniac · 11/06/2018 21:56

I think I like all of them.

Isabella - love it. Very popular but it's that way for a reason.
Freya - not overly keen but it's ok
Ava - love it. Again very popular but that's because it's lovely
Isla - ditto to Ava
Grace - lovely. Timeless and elegant
Rose - very elegant. Not very 'childlike' somehow but Rosie is cute
Olivia - like it.
Sofia - like it
Lottie (Charlotte) - love Charlotte. Not so keen on Lottie
Jessica - love it. I have an 11 year old Jessica. Always top 10 but I've never known loads.
Eva - love it.
Scarlett - not massively keen but it's quite pretty
India - really like it
Violet - quite like it
Pheobe - Phoebe. Really like it.
Jasmine - like it
Jemima - love it. I think it's sweet but classy at the same time
Poppy - not that keen but it's nice enough
Liliana - it's ok
Iliana - Never heard this. It sounds a bit unfinished somehow but it's fine.

You seem to have quite a 'current'/popular style so how about:
Amelia, Amelie, Bella, Chloe, Darcey, Daisy, Ellie, Evie, Emily, Isabelle, Imogen, Kitty, Katie, Lily, Lucy, Madeleine, Matilda, Ruby, Sophie, Sienna, Tilly, Willow, Zara

TatianaLarina · 11/06/2018 22:07

You’ve drawn up a list of the most used names in the whole country.

I’d go for Violet or Phoebe.

roseblossom75 · 12/06/2018 14:51

Isabella - Love this. Beautiful classic name. Quite popular but I much prefer it to Isabelle. The "a" on the end just makes it more feminine somehow! I prefer it shortened to Bella than Izzy though.

Freya - I like this. I don't actually know of any at the moment so not over popular.

Ava - I like, but way too popular where I live. I'm hearing it everywhere.

Isla - As above. Lovely name but there are just so many!

Grace - Nice timeless name. I like Gracie too for when they are little.

Rose - I like but would be tempted to add something to it - Rosanna, Rosalie, Rosamund.... I just find Rose on it's own a bit bland. Having said that I love Rosie!!

Olivia - Very pretty and popular name. I like shortened to Livvy.

Sofia - Probably my favourite from your list. I like both this spelling and the Sophia spelling.

Lottie (Charlotte) - I don't think you can ever go wrong with Charlotte. It's one of those names that never seems to fade. Also love Lottie.

Jessica - Always been one of my favourites.

Eva - I'm not over keen on, but like Evelyn and Evie!

Scarlett - I can't really take to. I like the shortening of Letty though.

India - I'm neutral on. I have heard it shortened to Indie which is quite sweet.

Violet - I'm not over keen on but again this could be shortened to Letty too.

Phoebe - Love this. It's been a favourite of mine for a long time and was on my short list.

Jasmine - Quite like.

Jemima - I quite like. I had aa rag doll called Jemima when I was little but never actually met anyone with the name.

Poppy - I like. I have had a cat and a rabbit called this but like it for a person too. Makes me think of the flower (which is one of my favourites).

Liliana - I quite like but prefer Lilianna (pronounced Lily-anna as opposed to "arna").

Iliana - I've never met one but seems quite pretty. I also like Eliana.

bridgetreilly · 12/06/2018 16:19

Phoebe and Jemima are my favourites from your list.
