A brother for Keira & Georgia?

Any suggestions?

Our last name is one syllable beginning with "H".

We're going to be trying for our 3rd child soon but we've never come up with a boys name in either of our previous pregnancies. Thank goodness we've had girls 🙈

We don't want anything overly popular but equally nothing unheard of.

Any help much appreciated.

Do you want a 'set' (two syllables, ending in 'ah')?

Jonah
Ezra
Luca
Noah

We can't have Isaac as it doesn't work with our last name. Same goes for any name ending in an "s" sound unfortunately. Love Isaac though.

DH & I both really like Jesse!

BUT... We are Scottish and in Scotland people would use the phrase

"You big Jessy" to describe a man who is scared of something. We don't live in Scotland now but I worry about what all our relatives might think and also, we may move back one day. Does that make it a no no?

Ooh, Edgar sounds good with the others.

I’d go for a single syllable or triple with two doubles. So
Max
Rex
Luke
Sam

Or
Antony
Alistair
Jonathon

I absolutely love your girls names! What about Lucas? X

mothertobe789 · 30/05/2018 18:48

Also, im scottish and would never use the name jesse for the reason you said, although its a lovely name. My dad uses that phrase all the time haha

EllenJanethickerknickers · 30/05/2018 18:50

Completely randomly I know a family with a Georgia and a Keira, surname beginning with H but I very much doubt they are planning on a 3rd!

wowfudge · 30/05/2018 18:56

I don't think calling someone a big jessie is confined to Scotland. It's the one thing that puts me off the name, but it's a fab name.
