I've loved this name for years but is it too popular now? How many Lilys do you know?

my little sis (born last feb) is lillian but lily for short. I think its lovely and if you like it then go for it! at least you'll not have to worry about lily being bullied, its a pretty infallible name!

At least 4, possibly more if I really think about it. It's a lovely name but I can understand why you're put off by it being very popular. It's quite a safe name like Emily or Olivia, which is not necessarily a bad thing but she might get called Lily B or whatever surname initial you have as there might be another in the class. If you really feel it's your name that you really want though, go for it.

What about Liliana or Livia instead?

fannyanddick · 31/05/2018 14:07

I don't know any!

StylishMummy · 31/05/2018 14:07

I have a Lily and know one other

I know 3 Lily's of primary school age, all in the same school, 2 in the same class. However I think it's a lovely name and wouldn't be put off by its popularity.
