Help! Does our chosen name work?!

Hi all!
My husband and I after some opinions on our favourite baby name to help us out? We love Scarlett, but the trouble is our surname is similar, it’s Schubert. The Sc at the start and T end, the same number of syllables...I think the sounds are different enough to not be too rhyming but I’ve over thought it now and can’t see clearly! What do you all think?
Thanks so much in advance!

I think it doesn't work as a combination, sorry.

There are names with some sounds in common with Scarlett which I think could go with your surname...

Carla, Cara, Stella, Francesca, Isla, Greta, Harriet, Carys, Cassia, Sara, Colette, Larissa, Tara?

I also think it is a bit tongue twistery.

I love it! It has a sort of gravitas about it. Go for it!

For me while i love Scarlett it does sound a bit of a mouthful with Schubert. Being a big fan of the composer, i’d have had to go with Clara.

TheBlackMadonna · 30/05/2018 19:47

Forget that. Clara was Schumann’s wife Blush

I think it sounds odd and vaguely comic tbh.

Scala Schubert flows better, but it’s a bit yoonique.

Cara and Clara would work. Cassandra?

I don’t think it works

Wow I realize this is over a year old, but the fact that this was posted on my birthday about my name made me feel a strange need to reach out. As a long time standing Skarlett Schubert, I can promise no rhyming jokes have ever been named. In fact, I’ve received a freaky number of compliments about it in the past. I hope your baby is well... and blessed with my name. All the best!

I find it very difficult to say.
