Hello,
I'm after Suggestions for a boy name to go with the surname Grimshaw.
Our girl name is Francesca but we're totally stuck on the boy name!
Nothing too wacky please :)
Thanks!

I'd be terribly tempted to go for Atkinson! Google images for Atkinson Grimshaw I love his paintings.

I see what you mean - any name that could plausibly belong to a little old Yorkshireman in a flat cap is going to sound slightly comical. I'd go with something very plain and timeless like David, Robert or William - and then not used the "old-fashioned-sounding" short form (e.g. Bob or Bill) for the reasons I mentioned.

I know someone with the last name "Badman" (don't worry, she definitely doesn't use MN!) who called her sons Synister and Killian, so I'd embrace the "grim" part of your name and go with something like that! I know she got a few Hmm for those names but I think they're totally badass.
