I just googled Shakespearean names and names of suffragettes. Lots of choice there!! Any other good sources for ideas?

Walking through graveyards! I’ve come across some excellent names that way.

The Bible.
Births and deaths sections of newspapers. Marriages sections tend to give names that were popular about 30 yrs ago.
Name popularity sites that go back decades and decades.
Celebrity/Sports pages (to know which names to avoid).

British baby names is a good website. Also Behind the Name. There are also name stats published in most countries with top 1000 and ranking of names and trends. Not sure where you find that in the UK. In Australia McCrindle provide name stats and the top 100 rankings. I also find just googling name lists - eg: 'hipster baby names', "old man baby names', "underused baby names' is a good way of researching.
