What do you think of the name Amos for a boy? Do you know any?

One of my NCT group called her son Amos. It wouldn't have occurred to me as a baby name, but I quite like it now.

It's an actual name. Rare enough these days. And it's been around for centuries.

I'm still laughing at the idea that it's old fashioned when Albert,Wilfred, Herbert, Humphrey et al are inexplicably popular in some circles.

Anyway, OP, I like it. You could be starting a new trend!

Not keen, sorry.

Reminds me of Harry Potter

My nephew (9) is an Amos. I don't mind it but most of the family seem to hate it and his grandparents have never come to terms with it ! It's biblical, and to me it's no worse than naming your son Noah, Seth or Ezra, which have all become quite popular
