Found out we are having a boy and are super excited but have no clue where to start with names!!
Our DD name is ranked in the 300s so looking for something that isn’t too popular. Her name falls into the ‘old lady’ category so nothing too modern. Our chosen girls name was Mabel.
Help us, wise MNetters!

Some great names! A lot of which have been vetoed! 😩 Particulary sad that Rupert, Milo and Jasper have been.
Came across Rowan today. Opinions?
What do you do if you just don’t love any names???

I had boy/girl twins and really wanted Rowan for at least one of them! Not to be though... lovely name.

I'm having a boy. I like names that aren't too popular, but are heard of, and easy to spell/pronounce.

Names I like are:
Wilfred (Fred)
Albert (Bertie)
Rowan
Rafferty (Raff/Raffi)
Raphael (Raff)
Evan
Vincent
Kevin
Kenneth
Leonardo (Leo)
Stanley (Stan)
Campbell (Cam)
Oscar
Harry
Eric
Augustus (Gus)
Tobias (Toby)
Percival (Percy)
Bertram
Dillon
Matteo
Martin (Marty)
Louis (Although this name will probs sky rocket now!)

I met someone today who had a baby last year. She called him Bellamy. I thought that was the most fantastic name. I've never heard it as a first name, but because it's a surname it's not too out-there. Also it sounds like an old man name! I love it.
Puts me off that there's no obvious nickname...Bell is a bit dodgy!
