Which name for DS2 - pick from two please

We're down to two names for DS2, due in a couple of months. Middle name will be Ambrose. First name will be Jonah or Cormac. Both work equally well with our last name and don't create any funny initials. We're both leaning one way at the moment, although haven't finally decided.

Which do you prefer?

Cormac Ambrose sounds lovely

Cormac

Joeybee · 14/05/2018 21:56

Jonah flows better with Ambrose. Also I think it goes better with your other sons name.

pilates · 14/05/2018 21:58

Cormac

Noboozeforme · 14/05/2018 22:07

Cormac! Great name.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 14/05/2018 22:23

Depends how far away you are from Cornwall. If you are in any way close, stay well away from Cormac

I choose Jonah.

RavenWings · 14/05/2018 22:25

Cormac by a mile.

BigBairyHollocks · 14/05/2018 22:34

Cormac definitely.

ohhelpohnoitsa · 14/05/2018 22:42

Jonah

Terramirabilis · 14/05/2018 22:54

@Pelvic: I'm about 5000 miles away so shouldn't be a big problem. Grin

Cormac! It's a terrific name.

Freyanna · 15/05/2018 01:46

Cormac

jollyhollygolightly · 15/05/2018 05:25

Jonah Ambrose for sure! :) Love the name Jonah. Cormac is just awful, sorry.

MonsterKidz · 15/05/2018 05:29

Jonah

Coey2016 · 15/05/2018 06:32

I like Cormac. Especially like Mac to shorten

SumAndSubstance · 15/05/2018 07:46

Another vote for Cormac from me! I also think it goes better with Brendan and Ambrose and I prefer it anyway. Jonah is nice though! Good choices, OP.

BabloHoney · 15/05/2018 07:49

Both lovely names! Would probably go for Cormac but both good choices.

strawberrypenguin · 15/05/2018 07:52

Jonah

DonaldsTrump · 15/05/2018 07:55

Jonah

Attie17 · 15/05/2018 08:05

Cormac.

hildabaker · 15/05/2018 08:09

Cormac. Surely Jonah means 'bad luck' or 'jinx'

AdaColeman · 15/05/2018 08:18

Cormac!

It goes well with Brendan, and I'm not keen on Jonah due to its 'bad luck' history.

LarkDescending · 15/05/2018 10:13

Is a tweak to Jonas a possibility? It would flow nicely with Ambrose, and avoid the “jinx” connotations.
