Thoughts on Wade for boy name

We are toying with boy names. Our last name is Moskow. What do you think of Wade Moskow?

I live in the States and absolutely love American style names, but not Wade. It just sounds a bit, I don't know, blaaaah. And makes me think of a bunch of high school girls tossing their hair and saying, "OMG, Wade! You're SUCH a loser!"

I may have overthought this one.... Grin

I live in the US and even americans don't use Wade anymore.

you have a great surname - loads of names would be fabulous with it.

I Wade Moskow and it was really heavy.

I feel bad for not liking it because Wade in the water by Ramsey Lewis is an epic tune.

No, Wade is not a nice name and it doesn't flow well with your surname either.

If you like the W why not go for Warren?

It's a name associated with the confederate southern states as it was popular at one point to name sons after a general called Wade Hampton. There are many streets etc. and statues in his honour. He was a one the biggest slave owners and an unapologetic racist all his life.

It mainly just makes me think of deadpool if you don't mind that association but I do know one guy called wade and he suits it. I don't love it but I definitely don't hate it either.
