Four weeks, opinions on boys names

I have four weeks(hopefully) until our third boy is born. Our first two are Lucas and Edward(Eddie). We cannot decide on a name. Which of the following do you think fits best. I realise they are 'boring' names, but we like them.
Michael(family name but don't like Mike)
Matthew
Theo
Christopher(kit)
Nicholas

We also like Felix and Finn, but have friends with children called these, so would rather avoid.

I really like Nicholas & Theo

MikeUniformMike · 28/04/2018 20:23

Michael is my favourite and you could insist on Mick, Mica, Mikey or Michael if you don't like Mike.
Nicholas is great as is Matthew. Nick or Matt are fine.
Theo is too trendy as is Kit.
Dominic gets a no - Dom.

David, Peter, Samuel, Maxim, James, Benjamin, Zachary, could be options.

Thanks, we have thought about lots of those options, but various things have ruled them out. Still think and Sam/Samuel sometimes though. With our first two, we knew by now, or had it down to two favourites and decided when we saw the baby. I am now having visions of us still not being able to decide for days/weeks after baby is here! I think I am veering towards Michael or Matthew, but I change my mind daily.

I like them all, but I think Matthew and Theo fit best. Nicholas is lovely and unusual these days, but I think two syllables would go best with your others. Christopher is nice but I'm really not keen on Kit, partly because it seems to be having a moment and I suspect it will date him.

Matthew or Christopher

Sophronia · 28/04/2018 21:57

I like Nicholas and Matthew

Chocolatecake12 · 28/04/2018 23:18

Matthew or Nicholas go very nicely with your other boys names and have nice shortenings too.

bridgetreilly · 28/04/2018 23:28

Christopher.

Thanks, not sure I’m any clearer, but to to hear no universal consensus for/against any of the names.

Should say ‘good to hear’.

They aren't boring OP - they are classics! I like Matthew and Nicholas.

Matthew; lovely name! Goes really well with your other boys' names, too.

Belindabauer · 29/04/2018 08:51

Matthew.

toomanyeastereggsurghh · 29/04/2018 08:56

Matthew - Matt is nice
Really don’t like Michael, Nicholas or Theo.
Love Kit! Plus Christopher gives option of a more grown up name when he’s older if he wants.
Also love Felix btw! And don’t be put off by knowing another one. You could pick the most original name for your kid then arrive at school to find another three in his class, you can never predict these things! Better to pick something you really love.

stellinaa · 29/04/2018 09:13

Nicholas is my favourite! Though I may be a little biased Wink My son is Nikolas Giorgio

seven201 · 29/04/2018 10:35

At first I thought you were 4 weeks pregnant and already getting stressed about names!

I like Matt the best from your list.

Other ideas:
James
Julian
Mark
Alexander

FizzyGreenWater · 29/04/2018 11:28

The only one I would absolutely avoid is Michael, because he WILL end up as a Mike or Mikey.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/04/2018 14:03

Matthew.

redmini4 · 29/04/2018 14:45

Michael and Theo are the best out of your list. I know a few Michaels of different ages and they are all known as Michael.
