Old man middle name needed!

So we've decided on Wilfred for our little chap, not looking to reconsider this so please be gentle if you dislike the name! Grin

We are however completely and utterly stuck for a middle name. Feel like we have to because other dc have mns but we've got nothing.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Think James would work well.

Wilfred Amos is fab

Algernon. A sadly neglected name, even for those looking for an old man vibe.

I don't understand why people choose middle names that don't mean anything?

Do you have an influential male role model? A father, uncle, grandfather, godfather etc. that you might like to honour?

If we have a boy he'll be named after both of our (now deceased) grandfathers (first name, middle name) and for a girl we've chosen a first name and middle name will be my MiL's "real" name (she's usually known by a nick name)

ProseccoPoppy · 29/04/2018 08:31

First thought for a middle name for Wilfred was Jonathan. Or Edward or Andrew.

SleepingStandingUp · 29/04/2018 08:48

Wilfred Xavier

Thank you all for your suggestions! I'll be running them all past DH today!

Fingers crossed we'll have one soon Smile

@AnotherOriginalUsername I have to disagree. Just because we aren't naming him after anyone, it doesn't mean his name won't mean anything to us! Each to their own I guess, I can't personally understand why anyone would name their child after anyone else.

I'd go for something classic like James. If you go for two old man names then there's no choice if he doesn't like his first name. Most likely won't be an issue but nice to have a back up.
