Opinions on the name? Do you think it goes with Nikolas and Nadia?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
AnyaMoondial · 15/04/2018 19:05

I like it.

ErrantBakedBean · 15/04/2018 19:15

Hayley was quite popular in the UK in the late? 80s so I tend to think of it as a little dated now, whereas Nikolas and Nadia sound fairly current. It depends where you are though - the sound is pretty, if you're not coming at it with associations.

MikeUniformMike · 15/04/2018 19:25

It's very dated in the UK. 1970s name. It's a surname that's been adopted as a first name, made popular by Hayley Mills.

Coconutcreampie · 15/04/2018 19:26

You called? I like it but I'm biased Grin

RoundaboutSnail · 15/04/2018 20:11

It has gone out of fashion, but I really like it.

Raines100 · 15/04/2018 21:03

It's a perfectly decent name, but I agree it's dated.

I don't think it goes with Nikolas and Nadia at all, but I also don't think it matters that much.

Yika · 15/04/2018 21:27

I really like it. Pretty but not frilly or twee.

Not sure that it really goes with Nikolas and Nadia but all three are lovely names.

Sophronia · 15/04/2018 21:28

It doesn’t really go with Nikolas and Nadia

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 15/04/2018 21:34

I'm not keen on Hayley, it seems alien to Nikolas and Nadia.

Too dated and doesn't go with the names mentioned

Buntysoven · 15/04/2018 23:49

I actually really like it and agree that your other children's names are lovely. So what if it doesn't go? They're individuals

manicinsomniac · 16/04/2018 01:46

I like it and don't see why it wouldn't go with the others.

I teach a child called Hayley (she spells it differently but still the same name) so it's not completely unused now.

Topseyt · 16/04/2018 01:52

I like it. It goes well with the other names too.

I've heard it fairly recently and don't think of it as dated.

Smoliver · 16/04/2018 11:06

I like it. It's not popular at the moment, which just makes the more unique to hear in the playground Smile

Vexatious · 16/04/2018 12:07

It really doesn’t have the same chic Euro vibe of Nikolas and Nadia. Seems very 80s and dated in comparison.

diddl · 16/04/2018 15:51

" Do you think it goes with Nikolas and Nadia?"

Nope!

Like it though.

Bibijayne · 16/04/2018 16:42

Hayley is a beautiful name :)

Exactly this ^

badg3r · 16/04/2018 23:29

I was born in the 80s. All of those names were common when I was growing up, so in my mind they go well! Hayley is lovely.

YeahAndThenWhat · 16/04/2018 23:32

I love it and think it’s perfect with the other two names.

So refreshing to hear something other than all the popular names.

stellinaa · 23/04/2018 11:56

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I had no idea Hayley was so popular in the 80s / considered dated. Nineties baby here Blush Grin

Trying to find more Euro style names as suggested!

I like Hayley, but dislike Hallie (as in Berry).

BumpInTheOven · 23/04/2018 12:14

It's on my list Grin

HyenaHappy · 23/04/2018 12:17

I like it and that spelling.

BringMeCoffeePlease · 23/04/2018 13:23

I agree that Hayley is dated unlike your other children’s names.
