Finally got DH to come round to Iris so these are the final 4. Which is everyone’s favourite?

My daughter has a friend called Sylvie, always thought it was beautiful. Much prefer it to your other names.

All nice names although I'm put off Nancy by the fact that David Cameron used it.

Sylvie is very nice but also very French - do you have a French connection? Personally I wouldn't use it if not, but that's just my opinion.

Iris and Meredith are both great.

They're all great names! I like Nancy the best, then Iris, Meredith and Sylvie.

Thanks for the opinions! Iris and Sylvie seem to be either least or most liked from everyone. Pretty mixed bag

Swearwolf I think Sylvie is so pretty! How old is your DD? Does her name ever get shortened at all?

She's just 2, and no it doesn't really get shortened much. Occasionally her big brother calls her Sylv, but generally not Smile

You can't go wrong. They're all lovely. Very tasteful.

I'd cross Iris off the list simply because your OH doesn't sound super committed to it. Then, I'd see which of the remaining names sounded nicest with the surname.
