There's also Zack / Zachary and its variations which are lovely names but for my personal tastes very popular.

I have a Zachary but we call him Zed.

I like Zach, there is Zev (or Ze'ev) too and Zain / Zane (a bit too Lego Ninjago now though)

I wouldn’t spell Xander or Xavier with a Z, it just makes you look illiterate.

Xander has the same sound as names that start with a Z, as does Xavier

Thanks! I love Xavier (even more when spelt Javier) and Zander, but sadly I'm alone on that. Zeb was inspired by radio 4's Zeb Soanes and his soothingly deep voice!
