Middle name Yvonne. Surname 3 syllables, begins with an M.

Older children Alex (Alexander), Josie (Josephine), Ione, Amelie, and Maebh.

Baby now 9 days old but no-one can agree on a name!!!!

I know a Lyra and Iisnt Trinny Woodall’s daughter Lyra too? The Kyra I know pronounces it very differently to the way Trinny pronounces it (and it isn’t just different accents).

Thebirthdayparty · 01/04/2018 15:13

Terrible typing - I meant isn’t/Lyra.

thegreylady · 01/04/2018 19:00

Hope is the only one which goes well with Yvonne I think.

bridgetreilly · 01/04/2018 19:50

Hope Yvonne. Beautiful.

Zoe Yvonne is quite tricky to say, and Lyra is going to be quite dated soon, imo.

afrikat · 01/04/2018 19:56

Lyra!!

WhereIsBlueRabbit · 01/04/2018 20:02

I think Zoe or Lyra works better with Yvonne than Hope. I would go for Zoe, then Lyra.

I actually know a Lyra in her thirties so it does predate Philip Pullman's books...

Scabetty · 01/04/2018 20:02

Lyra is my favourite.

DowntonCrabby · 01/04/2018 20:11

Zoe out of those.

I think an "a/ah" finishing name would sound lovely with your other children's names though so maybe Lyra although I do prefer Zoe.

in my head your surname is Montague

Namechanged223 · 01/04/2018 23:28

For all those wondering if Lyra’s a real name - it’s a constellation and as others have said, a character in Phillip Pullman’s His Dark Materials! It’s to do with Greek music and poetry.

Still so stuck. Issue is we also like Alice (too similar to Alex), Rosie (too similar to Josie), Nina (doesn’t seem to fit and seems a bit too matchy with Ione though I’m not totally sure why - probably the “Nee”).

Quite like Sophie now. And Harriet, but dislike Hattie. And Hazel. And Clara. And Phoebe. She looks like every name to me and barely any to DH!! So difficult agh.

Hazel Zoe or Lyra. Drop the middle name or change it to eve if it's proving tricky to match them together?

Tattybogle89 · 01/04/2018 23:37

I can’t say Lyra without thinking of
The word liar, or Lycra. What about lyla?
Phoebe is lovely and matches Well.
Alice suits your other children’s names best

I personally wouldn’t worry about Alex being similar. He has a fuller name, is a different gender and older , and it’s. It exactly the same. If it was twins maybe a no no but I wouldn’t worry really

A picture might help GrinGrin

Tattybogle89 · 01/04/2018 23:37
  • and it isn’t exactly the same
Buntysoven · 01/04/2018 23:51

Hazel Yvonne is stunning.

Namechanged223 · 01/04/2018 23:57

Yvonne is a family name so is definitely staying!

I’m also drawn to Eliza and Catherine and Imogen now when I look at her. It was NOT this difficult with the other DC!

RavenWings · 02/04/2018 00:03

Lyra is pretty but always reminds me of aerial hoop, so there's that.

I like Hope, also Zoe and Imogen. Not liking Eliza, Harriet or Catherine at all, and Sophie is blah. I'd probably go with Hope.

stellinaa · 02/04/2018 01:19

Absolutely love Hazel and Imogen. Eliza is very pretty too with cute nn potential (Elle, Ellie, Liza, Lizzie).

Namechanged223 · 02/04/2018 19:25

Just an update - we’ve gone completely off piste and gone for Eleanor! Eleanor Yvonne, with nickname potentials of Ella/Ellie/Elle! Felt lots of the names ending in “a” didn’t flow with Yvonne.

Thank you to everyone who responded Grin

Zoe goes really well with the sibling names.

AnyaMoondial · 02/04/2018 19:35

Oh what a beautiful name op! Congratulations!

xLeanne128 · 02/04/2018 20:10

That's better than the ones you listed. Lovely name OP x
