Getting desperate now! A brother for Flynn?

Our second baby is due in less than 3 weeks and we have known he is a boy since 11 weeks so we have had a loooong time to think of names. But we are totally stuck.

Our son is called Flynn and we found it hard to come up with his name but this time it's impossible.

My current fave is Bodhi which I really really want and my husband is trying to like it but doesn't think he does. We considered Maddox but I'm not too sold. I like Grayson but husband hates it. Others that we have sort of liked but don't think they are the one - Cian, Nate, Ashton and Deacon.

Help!!!

What sort of names are you more drawn to?

Brody, Brandon and Brayden are quite similar.

I think Jude goes well with Flynn. Or what about Miles.

Oh my goodness I have a Flynn! His younger brother is Casper :)

What about Brodie as an alternative to Bodhi?

TheImprobableGirl I seem to quite like one or two syllable names and I like ones that are a bit unusual but not weird. Our surname ends in a Y and husband has a thing against names that also end in a Y (or I....this is one of his issues with Bodhi).

I loved Bodhi as well but we ended up going with Wren.

Other names we considered: Sunny, Asher, Sky, Sage, Finn

batfish · 26/03/2018 19:02

practicallyperfectmummy I really like the name Cole but I have an ex boyfriend with the surname Cole and things were a bit complicated with him when my husband and I first got together so it would be pretty weird to use the name I think! It's definitely along the lines of the sort of name I like though

Was going to say Nate too, I love that name.
I also like Brody and Jude. What about Ollie (not Oliver)?

Maverick66 · 26/03/2018 19:04

Oisin

Errol? Grin

Max
Nate
Reuben
Asa
Harvey

I do quite like Jude but there is something that is stopping me loving it....just mentioned to husband though and I've added it to the shortlist.

I just feel like we have looked at ALL of the names on the internet and just don't want any of them!

Appreciating the suggestions though :-)

Bodhi makes me think of Bodum kitchen equipment....
No offence but Maddox sounds like a dogs' name to me. Have to agree with your DH about Grayson.

I think Rufus, Rupert, Tristan or Louis go well. If you like the more unusual, the pen names of the Bronte sisters (male names) are nice and would sit comfortably alongside Flynn:
Ellis
Currer
Acton

BellaVida · 26/03/2018 19:22

Glad you like Jude. Trying to think of more similar ones.
