I know a young adult Molly and a Golden Retriever Millie.

Think both are very popular now

whereshalligo · 17/03/2018 15:26

What about Camilla nm Millie

Raeven · 17/03/2018 15:26

Like Molly, Love Millie and if my daughter hadn't have been born so close to the millennium it would have been her name.

MorningCuppa · 17/03/2018 15:34

Molly

madamedepoppadom · 17/03/2018 15:48

I prefer Millie but I actually like it better spelt Milly.

blaaake · 17/03/2018 15:49

Molly

EleanorXx · 17/03/2018 16:04

As a stand alone name, Molly. As a nickname for something, Millie.

Proudmummy2MA · 17/03/2018 16:11

Molly :-)

Raahh · 17/03/2018 18:33

Hopelessly Grin

I have a Millicent (Millie), she's nearly 12. Loves her full name and uses it as much as we use the short form really. And despite what is read on here, we must live somewhere where(Millie) is not that popular Grin

I'm not keen on Molly. But it's o.k.

Buntysoven · 17/03/2018 23:21

Molly. More substantial than Millie somehow.

RavenWings · 17/03/2018 23:23

I was just about to say Molly is more substantial when reading the first page...I see Buntys done it for me.

I think both names are a bit insipid but Molly definitely has the edge, Millie is very fluffy sounding to me.

Redpramlady · 17/03/2018 23:42

Molly

SuperBeagle · 18/03/2018 06:21

Molly.

Molly is better as a standalone name; Millie still seems like a shortening for Amelia/Millicent/Camilla. That is despite the fact that there's the movie/stage show "Thoroughly Modern Millie", in which Millie from the 1920s is a standalone name.

LoveB · 18/03/2018 06:39

Molly!

HopelesslyHopeful87 · 18/03/2018 09:22

@Raaah I've never met another Millicent. I so hope my DD loves her name as she gets older. She's only 4 months but it's such a great name and lots on here don't like it. It's a classic imo.

villainousbroodmare · 18/03/2018 09:44

For a pair of guinea pigs. If you absolutely had to. Sorry. Inelegant and childish imo.

mumgointhroughtorture · 18/03/2018 09:46

Molly

duckponds · 18/03/2018 11:21

Molly. I used to love Millie but now think it sounds a little pretentious and I prefer Mila now

FizzyGreenWater · 18/03/2018 17:53

Molly is much nicer. Really don't like Millie.

Tuesday11 · 18/03/2018 20:15

Like both but I think Molly is better as a stand alone name

pilates · 18/03/2018 20:35

Molly

Winchester13 · 18/03/2018 20:38

I love Molly

windchimesabotage · 18/03/2018 20:39

Millie

WazFlimFlam · 18/03/2018 20:40

Romilly could be shortened to Milly, and maybe even Molly at a stretch.

LovelyBranches · 18/03/2018 20:44

I prefer Molly over Millie and the spelling Mollie over Molly.
