Ronan for Vincent's Brother?

TwittleBee · 14/03/2018 09:54

What are your thoughts on Ronan as a name? Is it okay paired with Vincent (usually shortened to Vinnie)

Also struggling with middle names. We want to honour OH's family so were thinking Henry or Maurice but not sure if either of these sound right?

Any other suggestions greatly welcomed.

(FYI, haven't even managed to conceive #2 yet and we are already debating names like crazy! Girl's name is sorted though, Francesca Lucette)

Sorry but I really don't like it. What about Roman? But the main thing here is if you like it! Love your girl choice Smile

TwittleBee · 14/03/2018 11:22

Roman is no good, we live in Colchester so it seems a bit odd to call our future DS Roman! Also not keen on it either particularly. Thanks though!

I really like the name Ronan. I like Ronan Henry.

brogueish · 14/03/2018 12:12

Rowan? Lovely but doesn't work with our surname, sadly.

ReversingSnail · 14/03/2018 12:16

Ronan and Vinnie sound good together, and I think either middle name would be good too Smile

TwittleBee · 14/03/2018 12:16

I like Rowan but OH doesn't!

I just go immediately to Ronan Keeting who I think is a bit ‘meh’. Vincent is a great name. I second above poster Rowan is would go well.

TwittleBee · 14/03/2018 12:35

I actually met Ronan once, very nice guy! Didn't actually associate that name though until now.

I like Ronan, and I think Henry works well as the middle name. How about Roan? I used to know a little boy with that name (pronounced Rone)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 14/03/2018 13:13

How about Roman Henry, I really like it.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 14/03/2018 13:15

Oops sorry, missed your second post, Ronan Henry, not Maurice.

PinkLemonade4 · 14/03/2018 14:12

I like Ronan, but don't think it 'goes with' Vincent. They're very different names. Also, Ronan and Vinnie is very 'n' heavy.

Roman is awful.
Rowan is lovely.

MayFayner · 14/03/2018 14:13

I love Rowan but I am biased Smile

Just... not Maurice anyway.

BabloHoney · 14/03/2018 15:34

I like Ronan but it makes me think Keating too! Rohan?

TwittleBee · 14/03/2018 15:47

Rohan is lovely! I'll suggest that to OH later.

We aren't strictly looking for names similar to Ronan btw! Originally OH was pushing for Finlay (but I said no because Finlay and Vinnie is just too similar! Imagine shouting that as you try and get their attention when their older!). I on the other hand love Frederick and Danton both of which OH was horrified by.

I love the name Ronan, and think Ronan Henry sounds good :)

TwittleBee · 16/03/2018 10:23

I think it will be Ronan Henry then!

Thanks everyone!

(currently still trying to bring OH round to Rupert too though haha)

OP posts:
GreatDuckCookery6211 · 16/03/2018 10:38

Rupert is lovely but I don't think it goes with Vinny. I know two Vincent’s and their brothers are Jay, Ryan and Ben.

TwittleBee · 16/03/2018 10:56

I think it might go better than the other Vincent's brother's names though haha. OH isn't keen on it anyway so probably be sticking to Ronan

I love Ronan. Ronan Maurice is nice. Goes fine with Vincent.

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 16/03/2018 13:22

Oh sorry, just saw you probably chef Ronan Henry! That’s nice too.
